ASSF Admin Building undergoes much needed repairs
Posted by assf69 on March 18, 2009
18 March. The old main building used to be the Rectory or covento of the priests who were assigned in San Fabian. In 1969, when the Archdiocesan School of San Fabian was founded, it became the main school building. Later on, a part of it became the residence of the Franciscan nuns who administered the school.
For a long a time, the second floor of the main building had housed the classrooms, the library; the first floor had the offices of the Principal, the Registrar and the Treasurer, as well as the classrooms of the Pre-Elementary pupils. When the three newly-buillt classrooms for the Fourth Year students and the three classrooms for the Pre-elementary department were made this year, the main building has been transformed into the Administration Building.
The main floor is where the offices of the Principal, the Registrar, the Treasurer, the Guidance Counselor, the Health Officer as well as the School Custodian are found. The faculty rooms of the High School and the Elementary and Pre-Elementary Departments are also found along the main corridor area of the building. The conference room is located near the office of the principal. The second floor has the main library, the computer laboratory and the new audio-visual room.
The much needed repairs began last 2 March. The repairs consist of installing the ceiling joists as well as the installation of the marine plywood, and the plastering of concrete the old walls, strengthening the support beams. The overall project is being funded in part by the proceeds of the Fund Raising Project undertaken by the ASSF community during its last Foundation Anniversary celebration. Engr. Joselito F. Ramos is supervising the project.
